The poor thing has been living at my cousin's house for about a week. I feel bad for doing it, but I am judging her for not even trying to help it. Aunt has been giving it some water and food, but other than that has not been sure what to do about it. Cousin, on the other hand, knows full well how to help it but refuses to. She blamed it on the neighbors, saying that "it's their cat," but when I asked her why she didn't give it back to them, she just said, "It's not my cat, it's not my problem." I later asked the neighbors and they said it's not theirs, but they've seen it around the neighborhood. A full week and she couldn't take a picture of the thing and walk a couple feet to show the neighbors.
The thing is, I love my cousin. We've spent our childhood together and she's funny and charming and awesome, but this is just pathetic. There is just absolutely no excuse. She has time, she has money, but she just doesn't care.
Their household has two dogs, too. One snuck through a hole in the fence and had some puppies that they narrowed down to one. The worst thing is, they don't ever love them. Just food and water, but I bet those dogs haven't really been loved in years.
They just...
they don't care.
And it's disgusting to me.
